Dominique Mégret has been a business strategist, entrepreneur and investor in new technologies for about 30 years. Of European culture and Franco-Swiss nationality, he left France at the age of 19 to study and work in Germany, the United Kingdom and finally Switzerland, where he has been living for the past 18 years. Passionate about innovation, he has been involved in the development of about a hundred high-tech companies in Europe, Africa and the United States.
Dominique currently heads the venture capital firm Swisscom Ventures, which he launched in 2007 as part of the Swisscom Group. Based in Zurich and Lausanne, Switzerland, and Palo Alto, California, US, Swisscom Ventures manages CHF 600 million in assets financed by Swisscom and around fifteen institutional investors (pension funds, industry groups and asset managers). Its portfolio is mainly invested in so-called deeptech technologies, such as artificial intelligence, robotics, semicon- ductors, bioinformatics or virtual reality.
