Deep Tech Nation Switzerland Foundation (DTN) and the Startupticker Foundation announced the launch of the Deep Tech Nation Information Platform, a resource designed to simplify the navigation of Switzerland’s deep tech ecosystem. Tailored for venture capitalists (VCs) and institutional investors, the platform seeks to enhance access to vital information and stimulate investment in Swiss deep tech startups during their critical growth stages.

Accessible at www.deeptechnation.ch, the platform reflects DTN’s mission to mobilize funding and strengthen Switzerland’s position as a global leader in deep tech innovation.

Addressing Fragmentation with a Centralized Solution

DTN seeks to position Switzerland as a global leader in deep tech by addressing one of its key challenges: the fragmented nature of its innovation landscape. Switzerland’s deep tech ecosystem is both vibrant and well-established, but its decentralized structure makes it difficult for investors to access the information they need efficiently. Joanne Sieber, CEO of DTN, commented, “The Information Platform reflects our commitment to increasing the growth capital available. By efficiently packaging information about the Swiss deep tech ecosystem, we are building a compelling message about the significant financial opportunities investors can find in Swiss innovation.”

The Information Platform has the potential to make a significant impact by acting as a central entry point to the ecosystem. By bringing clarity and structure to a dynamic yet complex landscape, the platform consolidates resources and simplifies engagement, helping investors uncover the financial opportunities embedded in Swiss deep tech.

The initiative is launched in partnership with the Startupticker Foundation. Stefan Kyora, Editor-in-Chief of Startupticker.ch, noted, “The platform provides much-needed clarity for VCs, highlighting opportunities in Swiss deep tech while streamlining access to relevant information.”

A Collaborative Effort to Empower Investors

The platform is the product of collaboration among many leading organizations within the Swiss innovation ecosystem, including Gebert Rüf Stiftung, Basel Area, IMD, Innosuisse, SICTIC, Startupticker.ch, Swiss Startup Association, Swisscom Ventures, Startfeld, and UBS. It combines curated content with an innovative design that emphasizes Swiss efficiency and precision.

“Our goal is to ensure that visitors can conveniently find the information they need while experiencing the famed ‘Swiss touch,’” said Alexandre Meldem, Head Information Platform and International Promotion at Deep Tech Nation Switzerland Foundation.

The platform will evolve throughout 2025, incorporating iterative improvements based on user feedback to maximize its impact. Features planned for the full release later this year include tools to help investors evaluate start-up potential, expanded list of verticals, and curated resources tailored to various audience segments.

An Ambitious Vision for Swiss Deep Tech

The launch of the Information Platform aligns with Deep Tech Nation’s broader mission to mobilize CHF 50 billion in venture capital and create 100,000 jobs by 2033. By addressing barriers to investment, this initiative aims to accelerate the growth of Swiss start-ups and solidify Switzerland’s reputation as a hub for innovation.
